We’re excited about building something that doesn’t exist here yet — and doesn’t need permission to start.

We imagine Northern Colorado as more than a place where films occasionally happen. We see it becoming a living film community: one where artists don’t have to leave to grow, where collaboration is built into the landscape, and where creative work is treated as long-term infrastructure, not a side hustle.

We’re excited about creating the conditions that allow local productions to scale, students to stay, and ideas to move from spark to screen. The kind of environment where filmmakers cross paths daily, projects evolve organically, and experimentation is not only allowed — it’s encouraged.

This is about building spaces, systems, and trust so artists can take risks, find mentors, and grow together. Slowly. Intentionally. Sustainably.

We’re ready to start laying the groundwork — and we’re excited to grow it with our community.

Things we are excited about

The Future of Film in Northern Colorado

A walkable, collaborative creative zone — studios, edit bays, rehearsal rooms, screenings, and shared workspaces. A place where film culture is visible, active, and accessible.

The Film District

Creative Labs & Residencies

Short- and long-term labs for filmmakers, writers, editors, and experimental artists. Time, space, and mentorship to develop work without immediate commercial pressure.

Education Beyond the Classroom

Hands-on training, shadowing opportunities, and real productions for students and emerging creatives. Skill-building that leads to paid work and sustainable careers locally.

Local Productions, Fully Supported

Resources and infrastructure that make it easier to shoot locally — crews, locations, post-production, and community buy-in — so projects don’t have to leave Colorado to be viable.

National + Global Creative Exchange

Inviting artists, filmmakers, and industry professionals from outside the region to work with our community — not over it. Knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and long-term relationships.

A Supported Culture of Experimentation

A place where unfinished ideas are welcome, failure is part of the process, and bold, strange, meaningful work has room to exist.

Not a one-off festival. Not a temporary hype cycle. We’re excited about building something durable — infrastructure that supports artists for decades to come.

Built to Last
